About Us
Mission
- Our mission is to inform the community about local resources that are dedicated to sexual wholeness. WPSW is comprised of experienced and compassionate professionals ready to effectively confront all types of sexual brokenness - including lust, pornography, and unwanted homosexual behavior. We bring together faith-based programs and counselors from a number of different agencies, ministries, and support groups to equip strugglers with the tools they need to succeed. Also, there are wonderful resources and support groups for families and loved ones of strugglers.
Policy
- WPSW is faith-based upholding the Biblical position that all sexual conduct outside of Holy Matrimony is sinful and destroys God's plan for humanity resulting in sexual brokenness. Heterosexual design is present in all creation for the purpose of procreation. Due to the fallen state of mankind, and the presence of Satan it is no surprise that sexual behavior can be distorted. Restoration is possible through prayer, support, accountability and education.
- The WPSW spent years building a network of resources to meet the needs of people struggling to achieve sexual wholeness. This website became a reality when several Christian groups met in 2006 to encourage one another in their individual work with clients dealing with same sex attraction. Some were hosting support groups, some programs for recovery, and others were counseling and teaching. Working in somewhat isolated circumstances, we realized how difficult it was for the community to know what help was available to strugglers. We knew we needed to connect! The outcome was a network that consists of church organizations, leaders, teachers, counselors, therapists, and support groups confronting all forms of sexual brokenness. Scientific data on cause and cure is inconclusive but faith-based solutions are documented and this is exactly what we offer.
