Western PA Sexual Wholeness Network

 

Yes.  Help is available.  Our mission is to inform the community about local resources that are dedicated to sexual wholeness.  WPSW is comprised of experienced and compassionate professionals ready to help you effectively confront all types of sexual brokenness - including homosexuality, lust, pornography, adultery, promiscuity, etc.  We bring together faith-based programs and counselors from a number of different agencies and ministries to equip strugglers with the tools needed to succeed.  Also, there are wonderful resources and support groups for families and loved ones of strugglers.

Are you struggling with unwanted homosexual issues?

We want to help you find relational wholeness.  The WPSW network includes a host of local programs, ministries, support groups, and counselors who are commited to guiding you through this process.  Sexual attraction to the same sex becomes a struggle when a person, for whatever reason, finds homosexual behavior detrimental to their life long plan.  Scientific data on cause and cure is inconclusive but faith-based solutions are documented and this is exactly what we offer.

You are not alone.  Many families are dealing with similar difficulties.  You will find compassion within support groups filled with people that have a biblical understanding of brokenness.

We believe that same-sex attraction (SSA) can be treated.  We have a network of professionals dedicated to training counselors, clergy, church staff, small groups, and congregations.

Spouses of partners that struggle with homosexuality need special assistance themselves.  Our first concern is helping them cope with their pain and then move on to protecting the family spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

Dr. Joseph Nicolosi, Ph.D., director of the Thomas Aquinas Psychological Clinic and past president of NARTH, has been treating clients with unwanted same-sex attractions for over 20 years.  In this interview, Dr. Nicolosi encourages teens who may be discovering SSA within themselves to resist society’s pressures to label themselves “gay,” because early self-labeling could close the door to personal growth.

Tim Geiger, Director..... This week, I spent two days in Ligonier, PA doing the Winter Training for all of the staff of the Coalition for Christian Outreach, a campus ministry organization. There were nearly 200 staffers there, and we talked about biblical sexuality and how to help college students who are struggling sexually to walk in repentance. From all accounts, the training went well--and I had a great time interacting with these godly men and women. Please pray for them, that the Lord would give them the wisdom and the boldness to implement the steps we talked about this week. Nicholas Black, a co-worker of mine at the HARVEST USA office in Philadelphia, is seriously ill and is currently hospitalized with a mysterious and painful infection in his shoulder joint. PAC Prayer Ministry The first and third Tuesdays of each month find a group of middle aged parents sharing about and praying for their adult children.  Gary and Lynn Harbison who lead the support group Keeping On (a ministry to families who have loved ones in the gay lifestyle) also lead this unique prayer ministry.  Both PAC and Keeping On are ministries of the Cabot U M Church.  Keeping On is also part of WPSW.   PAC is built upon the foundation of God’s Word and His faithfulness in answering prayer.  This group of parents understands that their adult children face many difficult issues and situations.  They come together in agreement each week believing that God is moving and will continue to move in the lives of their adult children.  Prayer concerns and needs are many and varied as are the answers to prayer.  This group also provides support to one another and prays for all the adult children represented.   A typical...

"Journey Into Manhood" - Nightline Report
